Avoalre Outdoor Christmas Lights

I love Christmas. I love decorating the house. I love the warm fuzzy feeling I get seeing other peoples decorations or meandering around garden centres to look at their amazing displays. I love the christmas lights twinkling away in peoples gardens. Just generally the whole season makes me very happy.

The biggest Giraffe Gift

L loves a giraffe, it is his favourite animal of all time. His first toy as a baby was Gerry the Giraffe, Gerry was with in him hospital and has rarely left his side since, nursery, school, holidays, doctors appointments, haircuts, you name it Gerry has been by his side. Gerry is a shell of his former self, well loved barely covers it, but this is what started the giraffe obsession, an obsession that lead us to Icon Wall Stickers and the biggest giraffe gift yet.

Hotel Quality Bedding from The Towel Shop

We have recently finished extending our house and building the perfect space, we are now in the midst of finishing each room and making sure it is all lovely. The Towel Shop have been a great help.

Part of that has also been refreshing existing rooms. We have put some effort into making our conservatory a space to relax, rather than just be a dumping ground for the things we had no room for and we have given our master bedroom a refresh.

Feature Walls with MuralsWallpaper

After a long hard summer we finished our extension. Getting it built was only part of the project though. Sure having a larger, secure and watertight area was lovely but it needed flooring, decorating and furnishing. MuralsWallpaper were there to help.

Personal touches with ASDA photo

Well as it turns out the building work was the easy part of the extension. Actually filling the rooms afterwards has been the hard part, especially when we’ve spent all the money on actually building the place! So we’ve been trying to add some personal touches and make it feel homey without spending too much, thankfully ASDA photo had some great products to help.

Fresh Blank Walls

Now that the building work is finished and the decorating is done we’re at the final stage of our build. Just flooring left and then actually moving into the rooms. Rooms with lovely, big, fresh, blank walls. Walls crying out to to be filled.

The spare room is going to be my room. A craft room, an office, a space for me to get on with my work and have some quiet. I have picked out some lovely blinds, painted the walls and know that I will be moving my hand painted bureau in.

Adding a little joy to the garden

The weather has changed, it’s positively Autumnal now. The nights are drawing in. We’re still living in our teeny, tiny conservatory due to the building works and our garden is more important to us than ever for a little space, but even that has areas filled with rubble. So I got me a solar powered sheep from Red Candy, just to add a little joy to the day and beauty in the evenings.
