Norwich Castle is already a firm favourite of ours. I’ve been visiting since I was a child and we’ve loved watching it change and evolve over the years. It’s now a super easy day out for us to enjoy with L, it’s got a bit of everything and we can always find something to do that suits his mood. If it’s checking out the animals in the natural history section, riding a chariot with the Iceni or learning about WW2 we can do it.Continue reading Meeting the Vikings at Norwich Castle
School’s out for summer and this week marks the start of five weeks of free family-friendly activities at Norwich’s biggest shopping centre, intu Chapelfield. Just be a member of the intu Chapelfield family club.
Starting on 31 July through to 29 August, the intu family club will be offering families free activities every Wednesday and Thursday, from 10am – 4pm. And this summer, the intu family club sessions are inspired by nature, wildlife, and in particular – creepy crawlies, making it great entertainment for children who love discovering more about insects, mini beasts and the great outdoors.Continue reading Bug-themed fun at intu Chapelfield
Recently L and I spent an amazing day at Holkham Country Fair. We were guests for the day and had Vice Presidents tickets, so had a lovely base to explore from and go back to when wanted a bit of a break. We had so much fun and will certainly be returning for the next fair.
What was there
There was so much at the fair. Amazing displays in the centre ring, plenty of shopping, a fairground, food village, vintage cars and tractors, animals and more. We literally didn’t manage to see everything and were there for 5 hours. All of this with the stunning Holkham Hall as your backdrop, we couldn’t have asked for a better day out.Continue reading Holkham Country Fair

Over the Easter Holidays we had a lovely mini break in London. It was fab to have a really good explore and a lovely way for me to relax after all the goings on at home! We only had one real plan for our break and that was a trip to Shrek’s Adventure.
We had visited Shrek once before over Christmas and had a wonderful time. On one hand I was very excited to be returning, on the other I was worried that as we had visited once and it was no longer a surprise, that it might not be as good a second time round.Continue reading Shrek’s Adventure! Last Sunday I was lucky enough to experience a whistlestop cheese making tour at Fielding Cottage as part of a press day. I made my own cheese, got to see how they make their award winning cheeses, eat a lot of it (I was not complaining) and have a look at the gorgeous holiday cottages.Continue reading Cheese Making at Fielding Cottage
