Here are a few of my favourite chocolate Easter gifts that are available this year, there’s not many, just a few I think are extra special. Continue reading Easter With All The Chocolate
So that they knew I would be having a lovely meal on Mother’s Day Hello Fresh sent me one of their lovely boxes packed full of everything I would need to make three delicious recipes.
I chose to have the vegetarian box as I wanted to be sure I would benefit from it, so one day I got a very heavy box delivered with everything, herbs, spices, vegetables, easy to follow recipes, everything I needed to create three amazing meals to feed four people. As it it turns out, it could feed four very hungry people!
Time for my monthly Degustabox feature, if you haven’t seen previous month’s posts, Degustabox is a monthly subscription box, filled with amazing new foods for you to try out. Including new lines from big brands and foods from smaller brands that you maybe weren’t aware of. For £12.99 per box you will have contents worth well in excess of that, get the chance to try something new and maybe even find a new favourite treat. I enjoy getting to try things I wouldn’t normally buy for my family.
The February box was fab, even more than usual, filled with lots of new things to try, some great drinks and very moorish snacks, yummy. Here’s what I got; Continue reading My February Degustabox
This plus that equals…. perfect me time
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is what makes perfect me time, now I don’t get much so I’m being realistic here.
Hartley’s Jelly have created a tasty and fun recipe that you can make with the kids or maybe with a bit of help they could make for mum as a treat on Sunday.
They kindly sent me through a lovely box filled with some of the bits I woudl need to make up the pies as well as some of their latest latest products, the Fruit in Jelly pots and the new flavour in the 10cal Jelly pots, they also sent some lovely bits for L to make a card for me with.
This is a super easy, really quick chicken recipe that you can serve with chips, mash and veg or just in a sarnie. In fact it’s so easy it barely counts as a recipe! All you need is small chicken fillets, a bottle of Jack Daniel’s Honey Barbecue Glaze and some cooking oil.
In the morning before you pop off to work, or when you’ve got a spare few minutes pop the mini fillets in a zip lock bag, add a generous helping of the JD Honey Barbecue Glaze, seal, shake and pop in the fridge until you’re ready to cook it. For my birthday I was given a great new book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends to help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday and on Wednesday’s I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.
This week has been fairly boring, thankfully! There have been some lovely moments, some toddler tantrum not so lovely moments and some fairly mundane moments. It’s actually been quite normal and peaceful which is always nice.
So here are my top ten moments from the last 7 days:
Please tell me I am not the only one who sometimes finds themselves standing at the fridge wondering how on earth you are going to prepare a meal with what you’ve got, one that’s quick, easy and will be enjoyed by your toddler. It’s not just me is it?
I wish I was the kind of mum who was organised enough to always have meals planned and live with a permanently stocked fridge, but I am not. So when Kiddyum got in touch to see if L would like to try some of their frozen ready meal range I was really excited.
So for Mother’s Day all I really want is to spend time with my little family, maybe go to the beach for a walk or be treated to a nice lunch out.
If I were to be purchased something and this truly is the biggest hint I can make, ahem ahem, then here are a few things I would love.
Do you know what the best things about winter are? It’s easy. Christmas, snow, the beach, hot chocolate and soup. Done, that’s it, a perfect winter for me. Continue reading Soup Glorious Soup
