Goal Power is a new kid’s healthy flapjack snack and game that promotes children reaching their goals and enjoying a healthy active lifestyle. The idea is the children enjoy the healthy, fibre and nutrition-packed snack and then they can collect cards or set goals online to achieve.
The aim is to help kids to get outdoors, be active and take some time out from their screen time.
With the summer holidays looming it’s always good to have some activities up your sleeve for a rainy day. For us one of the things we go back to time and time again are fossil dig kits. They are simple and easy to use and happily keep L occupied for quite a while depending on the size. We’ve recently tried the Dig & Display Fossil Kit from Learning Resources and its one of the best we have had!
We’re always up for trying new games at home. Especially ones that get us outside. HydroClash Target is all about making water fights seriously fun and without having to worry about filling, clearing away and the environmental impact of a million water balloons.
Need a hand keeping the house in shape? Well why not get the kids involved, or at least keep them busy playing so you can whip round with the vacuum! It seems to be a constant battle in our house to keep on top of things, I’ll clean and then turn my back and it’s back to how it was.
Who else is desperate for a bit of entertainment? Something different. Basically not another walk! Well Epic Escapes is here to save the day with their fabulously fun and tricky Escape Room in a Box (3in1) kit. We love it and better still I’ve got a set to giveaway worth £99.
We are so lucky to have been sent some of the Playmobil Dinos sets to review and it was fair to say from the moment they arrived L was rather excited, but due to some less than desirable behaviour he had to wait a little while until he could open them. Not great for me as I like to crack on with reviews but sometimes you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do as a parent.
Do your kids have sleepovers yet? L seems to be in the minority amongst his friends in that he does. L and his best friend from nursery have had several sIeepovers and they love it. Even If they are little terrors.
It helps that we are good friends with the parents and that both of us are happy for the other to look after and tell each others children what’s what!
All summer long we had builders in working on our extension. Mostly the weather was great so we were just chilling out in the garden, or we had days out planned. When we were tired we still had an internet connection so we could watch Netflix in the conservatory. It genuinely wasn’t too bad.
However, some days we were home, the weather was rubbish and on many of those days we had no internet as, on occasion, it had to be unplugged so things could be built. Those days were long. So freaking long.
