Mother’s Day is coming. Last year saw us mums celebrate during the 1st weekend of lockdown number one. It seemed ok, and we had a little laugh about the restaurant gift vouchers we received and couldn’t use and had no idea that the promised spa day would be so very away.
This year it looks like it will be more of the same, potentially a socially distanced walk could be on the cards, but who really knows! So I feel like it’s wise to plan gifts assuming we will not actually be able to see one another and I certainly won’t be able to repeat the heavenly year I went away with a friend for Mother’s Day and we left our children at home.
So here are a few of my picks for celebrating another locked down Mother’s Day.
With under a week to Valentine’s Day I was set a challenge to get some Valentine’s Gifts from intu Chapelfield. I was given a £50 gift card and asked to buy a gift for my son, a gift for my husband and a gift for myself.
As this is all from the high street, there’s no need to worry about delivery times or if things are as described on screen, so it doesn’t matter that I’m shopping last minute, it only matters that I can do it all in one place.
I’ve already done all my Christmas shopping, but Christmas is about so much more than that. It’s about family and special times, making memories and having fun. You can do all of that at intu Chapelfield and L and I had a brilliant day exploring what they had to offer. So off we went Christmassing at intu Chapelfield.
Until a few weeks ago I had no idea what Zeek was. Turns out for me it is just the perfect solution to a problem I thought would just be forever irritating. That problem was Gift Cards.
As a blogger I sometimes get paid in gift vouchers. This is usually lovely as I then treat myself to something I wouldn’t normally. Sometimes though it comes at a time where cash would be more useful or there is genuinely nothing else I need from a specific store.
