Pickin’ Chickens Review & Competition

Pickin’ Chickens is a fun new game from Drumond Park. We’ve been lucky enough to get it early and have been testing it out at home. I also have one to giveaway.

As it is aimed at ages 4+ it should have been too much for L, but like most Drumond Park games we’ve been able to adapt the rules so he can play it now. Although with the little chicken counters I have had to keep a beady eye on him.

L has adored this game. I have actually had to hide it. The idea is simple, spin the wheel and uncover a chicken coop. Keep spinning until you’ve collected all four colours of chicken. The added fun part is the fox that springs from the middle.  If he catches you then you have to give one chicken back. He loves the fox! Continue reading Pickin’ Chickens Review & Competition

However much I’d like to be able to take L to The Natural History Museum all the time, it’s just not practical. Thankfully the Natural History Museum Shop has some great options so that we can enjoy the fun at home.

Beautiful Stories from Lost My Name

Lost My Name make personalised books and their latest tale is all about space travel. L loves rocket ships and the moon at the moment so we were all to eager to have a look at it.

The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home, follows your child and his robot friend on a little intergalactic space adventure. As you do. But an incident with a spilt drink leaves them without their SatNav. This is where the adventures start and they have to find their way home.  Continue reading Beautiful Stories from Lost My Name

LeapPad3 – Review

For the last few weeks L has been busy putting the LeapPad3 from LeapFrog through it’s paces.

Designed to be the perfect first tablet experience, I was concerned how L would get on with the LeapPad3. He already happily scrolls through the iPad to get to YouTube Kids and enjoys being able to choose what he watching. Of course I’m not too keen on him using our very expensive phones and tablets! He also knows exactly how to exit out of YouTube Kids and go to the main YouTube App which is completely uncensored. Continue reading LeapPad3 – Review

How to Make A Wedding Tree – Project Bridesmaid

When the guys at Rust-Oleum got in touch a couple of weeks back to see if I fancied taking part in a bit of a blogger challenge they were running to create a wedding craft the timing couldn’t have been better.

As you all know my sister is getting married next year and I am one of her bridesmaids, so far, as part of my Project Bridesmaid series, I have been focusing on myself and losing some weight so I’ll look good on the day. The time has come, however, to start actually taking care of my real duties.  Continue reading How to Make A Wedding Tree – Project Bridesmaid

Fun and Giggles with Shout! Review & Competition

We love a good board game and when we went away for Easter we were really happy to take along SHOUT! a really fun game from Drumond Park.

Shout! from Drumond Park

This was perfect for us as it can be played with only two people but teams can pretty much get as large as you want them and let me tell you it is hilarious! It’s filled with quirky questions and funny picture puzzles that you have to make connections with and some of them will leave you feeling like you’ve gone crazy, whilst other’s are refreshingly easy.
