I love a jumper. It’s the best bit about the cold weather but I often struggle with finding a nice warm jumper that I can wear comfortably under a coat. Something warm yet thin, soft and definitely not scratchy. If it looks good that’s also a bonus!
Recently the guys at Lands’ End asked if I’d like to try one of their cashmere jumpers out, it was an easy decision to say yes but a lot harder to actually choose which one I wanted to go for, they are all so nice. Classic designs that are perfect for me and a stunning choice of colours and patterns.
Well this post is later than I had planned but I am very ready for Christmas, we’ve spent all morning decorating the house and it all smells delightfully cinnamony! I’ve got the elves prepared, advent calendars ready to go and all I need to do is buy the gifts and plan the food. So, with that in mind I’ve pulled together a bit of inspiration for you all, hopefully you’ll find it useful.
Mother’s Day is coming. I feel hopelessly disorganised and like it’s all sneaking up on me too fast. In my head I’m pretty sure it’s still 2020, not that we’re already into March of 2022!
This year it, at lat, we should at least be able to celebrate in person. However, we chose to recognise the mum’s in our lives I’m pretty sure they deserve something lovely so here are a few of my picks for celebrating Mother’s Day.
Well this has flown by and I am very much not ready for Christmas. I’ve forgotten the elves more days than I haven’t, I still have gifts to buy and generally feel ill prepared and anxious. With that in mind I’ve pulled together a bit of inspiration for you all, hopefully you’ll find it useful.
L was recently sent an amazing box, filled with lots of little wrapped up presents and a book. The excitement was palpable. But what caused all this excitement? A delivery from The Reading Adventure Club, that’s what.
Never one to turn down chocolate I was very intrigued to try the offerings from Conscious Chocolate. As a general rule I don’t go too fancy with my chocolates, I prefer a good quality dark chocolate over a milk, but it tends to just be off the shelf from the supermarket and enjoyed of an evening. Conscious Chocolate offers something a bit different, being a raw chocolate and I was intrigued to give it a go.
I don’t know about you but it doesn’t seem like a year has past since last Father’s Day, my sense of time has been completely scrambled with all the lockdowns and back and forth this last 12 months has bought us. But yet it is fast approaching so, if it has taken you by surprise, as it has me, I’ve got you covered with some great gift ideas.
For a very long time my husband has wanted to drive some very fast cars around a track. He’s always been a little jealous that I’ve been able to do some pretty awesome driving experiences and he misses his motorbike which he’s taken round a track more than once. So when Buyagift asked if we’d like to review one of their many experiences for Father’s Day I already had a good idea what I’d choose for him.
I cannot believe how quickly Easter is coming round! Working in a supermarket surrounded by eggs from December I almost become immune to it, but in a few short weeks it’ll be here! With that in mind I’ve found some lovely Easter gifts, from classic chocolate treats to some more lasting gifts.
Mother’s Day is coming. Last year saw us mums celebrate during the 1st weekend of lockdown number one. It seemed ok, and we had a little laugh about the restaurant gift vouchers we received and couldn’t use and had no idea that the promised spa day would be so very away.
This year it looks like it will be more of the same, potentially a socially distanced walk could be on the cards, but who really knows! So I feel like it’s wise to plan gifts assuming we will not actually be able to see one another and I certainly won’t be able to repeat the heavenly year I went away with a friend for Mother’s Day and we left our children at home.
So here are a few of my picks for celebrating another locked down Mother’s Day.
