This Plus That Equals…. A Good Employer

This plus that equals…. A Good Employer

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about what makes a good employer. It is something that should be so easy as it pretty much boils down to just being a decent human, but so many companies get it wrong. I feel I am very lucky so I’ll tell you why.

Travelling with Trunki and chance to win

Anyone who has read my blog recently will know that we are of on our first foreign holiday in 9 years. This means it will be the first time L has been on a plane, so I’m trying to be really organised to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Part of that preparation is L’s new TrunkiTrunki

Making an Easter Tree with Hobbycraft

A little while ago I was invited to my local Hobbycraft store in Norwich to see the new Spring range, which included some fabulous bits and bobs for Easter. At around the same time I was also sent a box full of goodies to create a wonderful Easter Tree. Filled with inspiration I had a great time creating my tree.

Our Visit to Orford Castle

Last year I treated us to English Heritage membership. To be fair it was a no brainer. Membership for two adults, with L free, is £30 in Tesco Clubcard Vouchers. So it was next to no money. L loves castles, English Heritage have a lot. It’s free days out for a year.

I’m going to try to write about all the properties we visit using our membership. What I liked, didn’t like, share some pictures. We’ve already made our money back on the membership, so I am very happy it is good value for money.

This Plus That Equals…. Snow Days

This plus that equals…. Snow Days

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about things that makes our lives here at home tick. This week it’s all about snow days. After reading all the weather warnings, witnessing all the panic buying I’m sitting here waiting for the ‘Beast from the East’ to appear. A ridiculous, panic inducing, name for wetness if ever there was one.

Celebrating at Chessington World of Adventures

Oh I have been wanting to write this for so long but life has very much got in the way. Last year for L’s birthday we spent the weekend at Chessington World of Adventures. It was amazing. AMAZING.

Enjoying the rides at Chessington so much

I’m not really sure why we ended up going to Chessington for his birthday, I’d just been browsing the internet one night and saw that there was a great offer for a hotel stay and two days park entry for around £140 and that we could go for his actual birthday.

This Plus That Equals…. Excitement

This plus that equals…. Excitement

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week it’s all about excitement. I seem to spend a lot of time just going through the motions and trying to keep my head above water. Last year I decided to change that and now I have loads to be excited about.
