With the summer holidays looming it’s always good to have some activities up your sleeve for a rainy day. For us one of the things we go back to time and time again are fossil dig kits. They are simple and easy to use and happily keep L occupied for quite a while depending on the size. We’ve recently tried the Dig & Display Fossil Kit from Learning Resources and its one of the best we have had!

Tears, anxiety, worry, excitement, joy. I won’t say it’s been great to have him back in school, but it hasn’t been bad either. Just another change to get used to. The Centre of Excellence offers a huge range of home learning courses but I was mostly interested in their crafting courses. I do love to craft and so it is naturally a topic that interests me.
Read with Phonics is a progressive process which takes you from simple sounds to more complicated spelling combinations. You can start your journey at ‘Water World’ and every time you complete a sound another one is unlocked. The app is aimed at children learning phonics and has a game format. For me the new year wasn’t about resolutions but I did spend the majority of January learning some new skills. I took a Coding for Beginners Course with New Skills Academy.
It took me ages to choose which course to go for, did I go for a WordPress course, that would have been really useful for me and my blog. Did I learn something entirely new?
