Over the Easter Holidays we had a lovely mini break in London. It was fab to have a really good explore and a lovely way for me to relax after all the goings on at home! We only had one real plan for our break and that was a trip to Shrek’s Adventure.
We had visited Shrek once before over Christmas and had a wonderful time. On one hand I was very excited to be returning, on the other I was worried that as we had visited once and it was no longer a surprise, that it might not be as good a second time round.
As you all know the Easter break was a bit of a mixed bag for me, swapping form fun days out with the kid to funerals. What kept me going was the knowledge that we had a mini break in London booked, a stress free break with no driving and lots of fun.
Last weekend we were really lucky to be invited to the press launch of Shrek’s Grotto at Shrek’s Adventure! London. Combining the fun of Far Far Away with the classic December jolly of a visit to see Santa.

Sorry for missing last week’s calm post. Things got a bit manic and something had to give. That something was blogging. I’m pleased to be back though and I’ve been doing some pretty cool stuff, so here are my top ten moments from the last 14 days.
Last Friday we went to London for a cooking lesson at School of Wok. Our session was an Introduction to Thai and it was amazing. Even though it was only a week ago, and I can’t believe how quickly that has gone, I would go again tomorrow.
Learning knife skills at School of Wok
I came across School of Wok in July when I went to the Dexham Christmas showcase, they had teamed up with School of Wok on a range of Woks and utensils. During the event we had a mini lesson with Jeremy Pang the head chef there and met a lot of the team. I was really eager to go back so we arranged a full lesson.
