We spent a very happy and hot day at Roarr! with a very happy and hot child this week. During lockdown I had asked L to write down anything that he wanted to do once we were able and visiting the dinosaurs was on that list, so when we were gifted tickets to visit I couldn’t wait to tell him.

It’s the first day of half term!! Whoop!! I’m really excited to have some time off work to spend with L and he is really excited to have some time off school. Starting the week off with a bang we headed to one of our faves, Roarr!
This half term they are offering half price kids entry if they go in fancy dress and it was really fun seeing all the kids dressed up, running around and having fun. There are lots of fun activities to take part in too.
We caught up with my sister and my niece and just made the most of the fact that we were somewhere a one year old and a six year old could both have fun and that there were plenty of things for us to do inside in the warm.

On Friday night we were invited to the preview evening for the amazing The Snowman and The Snowdog Bricklive Tour that launched at Banham Zoo this weekend.
Banham Zoo is the first zoo in the UK to host this new brick trail inspired by The Snowman and The Snowdog. The tour is running until the 5th January 2020 so you’ve plenty of time to pop along and see it.
From the moment we arrived it was just magical. Trees covered in lights everywhere you look, from the carpark guiding you in and as you walk through an archway into Thursford the magic only increases. With animatontric huskies barking their greeting and even more lights than you would have thought possible.
Autumn is hands down my favourite season, I’m definitely wild about Autumn. Chunky knits, hot chocolates a plenty, beautiful colours and a mix of wonderful weathers that can be delightful and dramatic all within half an hour.
I’m sat here writing this, cosy inside as the rain is beating down against my window and oddly I’m looking forward to the school run. Because on the way home we can jump in puddles and run and splash and get as cold and wet as we please, knowing that home is waiting with warm blankets and a hot drink. The perfect way to brighten my very grey day will be splishy, sploshy fun with my kid.
