After the Christmas break L was excited to get back to school and I was excited to get back a bit of normality, but it wasn’t to be. Well they went back for a day didn’t they! Depending on where you are in the country you’ll have faced differing messages and rules about the return to school but for us, we got one day back in the classrooms and then a mad scramble to arrange childcare and homeschooling. At least I was going to be organised with the Phomemo D30 Label Maker.
Since our extension was finished last year and we now have a dining table (whoop!) I have developed a love of a seasonal centerpiece. Autumn we had a vase filled with conkers and some candles. Halloween saw the addition of pumpkins, eyeballs and bats. Now I’m starting to think about Christmas with a little help from JR Decal.
We recently had a lovely delivery of socks from the Sock Shop and I have been impressed.
I have a bit of a weakness for socks, I’m always buying new ones. I love a fluffy sock, long socks, funny socks. So I’m always happy to get socks. Husb is starting a new job and goes through socks at a rate of knots so it was handy to get some for him. Mainly though I wanted to see if we could find anything for the child, socks are an ongoing and incredibly irritating battle. He is determined he cannot put them on by himself and is painfully fussy about what can be on them.
Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to a fabulous press day at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse to try out some of their fun summer activities. We had a brilliant day, really good fun and lovely to explore somewhere I haven’t visited for at least 15 years!
Over the last couple of months I have been beavering away at home, working my way through some course from The Centre of Excellence.
The Centre of Excellence offers a huge range of home learning courses but I was mostly interested in their crafting courses. I do love to craft and so it is naturally a topic that interests me.
As weird as it might sound I have wanted to try a Water Flosser for ages. I know, I have all the best goals in life. But honestly, I really have wanted to try one for ages. Trouble is I just didn’t know what made a good one, how much I should be spending, or anything at all about them actually. So getting to review the has been brilliant. I have recently tried out thortful.com a brilliant place to sort the perfect card for any celebration and I love it.
My Thortful delivery

Scrummies are a delicious and healthy snack aimed at children. Yummy, scrummy fruit in perfect snacking packaging we received a lovely box of samples to try. In the midst of December indulgences they couldn’t have been better timed, or more gratefully received. We also had some Clearly Scrumptious adult snacks too, but L wasn’t fussed by that distinction and claimed everything for himself.
That time of year is here, so if you are looking for some ideas for delicious food and drink gifts you can buy this Christmas I’ve pulled together a few of my favourite items for you. Continue reading Personalised Gifts for Christmas→
There are two things I really love. Subscription boxes and crafting. Craftiosity combines the two. A completely flexible subscription box of modern craft kits with a new craft and make each month.
I was sent the September box to try out for myself and I loved it.
I was super excited to find out what was inside my Craftiosity Kit
