Loop Ear Plugs – review

Here’s a secret for you all. I snore. Loudly and in a most irritating fashion apparently. It’s not a complete shock to me as occasionally I’ll wake myself up doing it!

Now as a general rule this doesn’t affect me but it does affect my poor husband so when the guys from Loop Ear Plugs got in touch about their products I thought of him.

Making Home Learning Fun with Busy Things

I’m literally trying to write this review and help my one son with his school work for the day. It isn’t going well. It has taken nearly 15 minutes for me to get to this point whilst busy trying to explain a contraction. I didn’t know what a contraction was until this morning, well at least I didn’t know the name for one, look at me using contractions!

learning without knowing

The thing is I’m fed up getting up at 5am so I can write in peace, doing school work all day, Monday to Friday then heading off to my day job all weekend. I am super lucky that I only have to worry about one child’s education and luckier still that my employer has let me my normal 4 days of mid week hours into the weekend. I am lucky and I know that. It doesn’t change the fact that I am tired, so very tired.

Valentine’s Day 2021

Valentine’s isn’t one of the holidays we overly celebrate but it’s been tough recently, so I’m grabbing any holiday I can and making the most of it. There’s nothing else in my diary! Plus, now definitely seems like the time to let the people you love, know that you love them.

I’ve been looking for some nice gifts for L and husb, some for me too, not because I can’t trust them to do it, just it’s nice to think about myself sometimes. There’s plenty to be had but I’ve narrowed my choices down to a few favourites.

Back to School with Phomemo D30 Label Maker

After the Christmas break L was excited to get back to school and I was excited to get back a bit of normality, but it wasn’t to be. Well they went back for a day didn’t they! Depending on where you are in the country you’ll have faced differing messages and rules about the return to school but for us, we got one day back in the classrooms and then a mad scramble to arrange childcare and homeschooling. At least I was going to be organised with the Phomemo D30 Label Maker.

A Circus Carol

Teeth are brushed, pyjamas are on and stories read. I’ve just finished tucking a very happy and rather excitable child into bed after our wondrous trip to Norwich Theatre Royal to watch A Circus Carol.

A Circus Carol is part of A Right Royal Christmas running a Norwich Theatre Royal from 16th December to 24th December and it is so good to see the Theatre back up and running, especially with such a great programme.

Getting Festive at Silverstone with LAPland

Last week we headed off to Silverstone to check out their most fabulous Christmas event, LAPland. It was brilliant. The lights, the atmosphere, the set up. Just getting to have be on such an iconic track in our car was amazing. It’s definitely worth a visit.

LAPLand Silverstone

Last week I left work a few minutes early so I could get home and fill the car with snacks, blankets and a small picnic dinner. I picked L up from school and as soon as we got back home, Christmas jumpers were donned and we got straight into the car and started our journey to Silverstone, we were on the road by 3.30pm which I thought was quite an impressive turnaround!

Turtle Bay Bottomless Brunch Experience

On Thursday I headed off to my fave place to eat, Turtle Bay, with one of my bestest friends to enjoy a bottomless brunch. Now, it is very rare for me to get a day off from being mum and I do love a good cocktail, so as you can guess I was rather excited for the bottomless-ness of it all!

The biggest Giraffe Gift

L loves a giraffe, it is his favourite animal of all time. His first toy as a baby was Gerry the Giraffe, Gerry was with in him hospital and has rarely left his side since, nursery, school, holidays, doctors appointments, haircuts, you name it Gerry has been by his side. Gerry is a shell of his former self, well loved barely covers it, but this is what started the giraffe obsession, an obsession that lead us to Icon Wall Stickers and the biggest giraffe gift yet.

Hobgoblin The Unofficial Beer of Halloween

I’m not an ale drinker but the husband is and I have often bought him Hobgoblin because I like the cans. That and the fact he really likes the Hobgoblin Ruby. This Halloween, in keeping with the fact Hobgoblin is best sipped in the dark, they have launched a special Beer & Bugs Snack Pack and we got sent a mini version to try.
