Sambucol Immuno Forte

I’d tried so hard not to get ill in the run up to Christmas, it was no shock that as soon as the celebrations were over I got a cold and a sinus infection. The trouble is I still can’t afford to be ill. I was working solo to cover New Year, then it was my birthday and now the kid is back at school, I cannot take time off.

So it was back to the vitamins. This time I tried something new. Sambucol Immuno Forte. Sambucol is great for helping boost the immune system and recover from a cold, but also to help you stop getting one in the first place.

Novella Nostalgia

Novella Nostalgia is a series of five books based upon iconic films. The authors, Tony Drury and Oliver Richbell, have taken the essence of a films story and flung it into our modern world. I received all five book shortly before Christmas and have loved delving into them. Fun, gripping and perfect for reading over the busy holiday period when I could only grab a short bit of time here and there. I would highly recommend these books.

I do enjoy the chance to craft and I also love the surprise offered by a subscription box. Not knowing what you’ll get, the fun of unwrapping it, then a little project to complete. So exciting. That is exactly what you get with Makerly.

Manuscript Pens – Review

I’m not sure when it happened, but at some point Christmas has become an organisational nightmare. With childcare to arrange, gifts to source and wrap, food to buy, relatives to see, posting dates, charity jumper days, school fayres and plays plus a million other little things to get done, a to do list just doesn’t cut it.

I have a lovely collection of different oils that I can use for so many things. When Aromaspray got in touch to see if I would like to review some of their room sprays, made using 100% pure and natural essential oils I was very excited.

Pettitts Animal Adventure Park – review

As it was L’s birthday so early into the new school year, his first school year at that, we opted against a party this year. It would have just been too much for us all. So instead, we headed out with his best friend, who just so happens to celebrate his birthday the day before L, to hang out at Pettitts Animal Adventure Park

Pettitts Animal Adventure Park

We had never visited before and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. It’s been going as long as I can remember, but even as a child I never went. So we headed off, full of anticipation and with a very excited birthday boy.

Our Visit to Croxden Abbey

We’re enjoying our second year of English Heritage membership. Membership for two adults, with L free, is £31 in Tesco Clubcard Vouchers. So it is next to no money. L loves castles, English Heritage have a lot. It’s free days out for a year.Croxden Abbey

I’m trying to write about all the properties we visit using our membership. What I liked, didn’t like, share some pictures. We more than made our money back on the membership last year and this, so I am very happy it is good value for money.

Our Tour of JCB World HQ

One of the many things I did with L this year was visit the East Anglian Game and Country Fair. We had a fabulous time and watched the famous JCB Dancing Diggers perform. What I didn’t realise is that just by purchasing tickets I had been entered into a competition and I only went and won it! A tour of the JCB Worldwide Headquarters.
