AKEDO – ULTIMATE ARCADE WARRIORS

L was recently sent an amazing box filled with some high kicking, punch throwing, moving battle figures. The Akedo Arcade Warriors may be mini but their battle actions take you to next level intensity!

The World of Akedo – Ultimate Arcade Warriors deliver all the extreme moves of arcade fighting but there are no computers in sight. You are in charge of these little fighters and the real battling action is super fun and certainly ramped up the excitement in our house.

And the Little One Said by Elizabeth Coffey

A true life take of one woman’s multiple bereavements and of how she coped in the face of extreme grief – a book to comfort, encourage and inspire all those who have lost loved ones.

I don’t know how I could easily sum this book up myself, other than to say it’s beautifully sad and uplifting, I cried and I laughed and whilst reading it we suffered our own loss in the family and I found this book a real comfort.

A Little Help from Tutorful

I have made no secret of the fact L struggles at school. He gets so upset and it’s starting to dawn on him the holidays will be ending soon, so that upset is coming to the forefront of his mind. He worries that he’s not good enough and he finds the work so hard, he’s even more worried about a new teacher and a new school year. It’s hard to watch and I don’t know how to help. So we turned to Tutorful.

Goal power Flapjack Snacks

Goal Power is a new kid’s healthy flapjack snack and game that promotes children reaching their goals and enjoying a healthy active lifestyle. The idea is the children enjoy the healthy, fibre and nutrition-packed snack and then they can collect cards or set goals online to achieve.

The aim is to help kids to get outdoors, be active and take some time out from their screen time.

Flying Science

I am always looking for fun new activities to keep L occupied over the summer holidays and if they have some educational benefit then even better. The Flying Science Kit from Toys & Bears is a perfect example of that. Not only did it fill an otherwise boring day when we were stuck at home waiting on workmen, it has taught him about various types of propulsion and lift and has left him with some great toys that he has built and will last.

Summer Fun at Pensthorpe

Always one of our favourite days out we headed to Pensthorpe Natural Park at the weekend to check out what they were up to this summer.

We started our trip with a visit to Hootz House indoor play, but upon setting foot inside L decided he’d rather be out in the sunshine. Fair enough! So we spent the first hour playing outdoors and making the most of all the play equipment on offer. It was a lot quieter in the morning than when we walked through later in the day so that’s worth remembering.

Amazona Zoo & Football Golf

Yesterday we headed to Amazona Zoo in Cromer to spend a fun summer day with friends. As well as seeing all the animals and having lots of fun in the play area we also ventured across the carpark for a round of Football Golf.

It’s safe to say the kids had a blast. Whilst at the zoo they spent most of their time on the play area. With the one a system that is currently in place the free flow nature of the zoo has been lost and a few quite significant areas have been cordoned off, which for a small zoo was a big deal. This meant that once they were at the play area they were reluctant to leave as they were aware it wouldn’t be so easy to get back to. It didn’t stop the fun though.
