Celebrating on The Broads with Herbert Woods

A couple of weeks ago we did one of my favourite things, spent the day out on The Broads in a Picnic Boat from Herbert Woods. Hiring a boat on The Broads is a Norfolk right of passage and the perfect way to celebrate anything, so when my Mother in Law asked for ideas to celebrate my Father in Law’s 65th Birthday I immediately thought of a boat.

Staying at Trevornick

We have just spent the Bank Holiday Weekend in a Eurotent at Trevornick. It was fabulous. The perfect break for me as I had been desperate to take the kid camping this summer and have wanted to return to Cornwall for years.

East Anglia Transport Museum

The East Anglia Transport Museum is another new find for us this year. Unlike some of the other places we have visited for the first time, this one we hadn’t even heard of! This is really sad as I genuinely feel like I have deprived L of a few years worth of fun. Simply put, we love it and if you are looking for a fun day out over the summer holidays I couldn’t recommend this more.East Anglia Transport Museum

Wymondham Heritage Museum

I have lived in or around Wymondham for over 20 years, yet have never visited the Wymondham Heritage Museum in the centre of town. I am pleased to say I have now remedied that!

Summer at Bluestone

I cannot tell you how excited we were to be invited back to Bluestone. We had a fabulous time when we last visited Christmas 2016 and couldn’t wait to see what it offered in the Summer months.Bluestone 2018

We have been to Pembrokeshire a few times and it is a beautiful area of Wales, an area we are rather fond of, but boy is it a long way from Norfolk!! We broke our journey up on the way down with an overnight stay in Newport, this was great as it meant we didn’t have to leave our house at the crack of dawn and we got to arrive at Bluestone nice and early and most importantly ready to explore.Bluestone 2018 Continue reading Summer at Bluestone

Inateck Laptop Backpack – Review

I was recently contacted by Inateck to see if I would like to review one of their products. I chose the Laptop Backpack and I am impressed. So impressed actually.

Never before has a backpack entered this house and caused us to squabble over who could have it. We’ve had some really nice backpacks before but this Inateck product has raised the bar significantly.  Continue reading Inateck Laptop Backpack – Review

We all know using our mobile data abroad can be super expensive. You’re OK inside the EU but what about when you travel outside the European Union? Well depending on your mobile provider you’ll be charged per megabyte used, potentially quite a lot. Dataroam offer mobile data sim cards that you pay for upfront, avoiding any nasty surprises. Our Holiday in the Sun

We go on holiday a lot with the kid, maybe two or three family breaks a year. We’ll camp, boat, caravan, we really don’t care but one thing they have all had in common is they have been self catering in the UK. They have also been work, reviews for this blog. We haven’t had a family holiday in the sun at all since L was born and technically I haven’t had a holiday at all.
