This Plus That Equals…. My Favourite Norfolk Walks

This plus that equals…. My Favourite Norfolk Walks

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is a list of my favourite walks in Norfolk. We’re off to Lincoln for a long weekend, when husb asked what I wanted to do, I literally had no clue other than to get out for some good, long, at a decent pace, walks. It can be hard to do with a toddler sometimes.

So I’d been looking for some walking inspiration in and around Lincoln and it got me thinking of my favourite places to walk at home in sunny Norfolk, especially now we have L.

Fun on the Broads with Herbert Woods

This year to celebrate  their 90th anniversary Herbert Woods added the new Starlight 24 Picnic Boats to their day hire fleet.

It is the first new design of the original Picnic Boat designed by Herbert Woods in 60 years. So of course we felt it only right that we tested it out.

We picked a great day for it, the sun was shining, there was a nice breeze and we were ready for a fun day out on the water.

The original plan had been to head out under Potter Heigham Bridge and go towards Horsey, exploring the broads that end of the county. But the tide was too high for us to actually get the boat under the bridge though, so instead we put Neatishead in our sights. Continue reading Fun on the Broads with Herbert Woods

Since having L we’ve enjoyed a lot of family holidays and making new memories with him. We haven’t shied away from anything with him, boats, tents, caravans, distance. It’s all been worthwhile for the new experiences and fantastic holiday memories.

Discovering Bavaria with BenQ

I have spent the last two days in Bavaria at the launch of the BenQ GS1. It has been an amazing experience. So I’m really happy that I got to attend.

Flying home
Flying

I had never been to Bavaria before, I actually had to Google it to find out where it was. My geography is atrocious. In fact I had never actually flown by myself before. So there were lots of new experiences for me. Turns out flying by myself was a breeze, it’s so much easier when you aren’t arranging everyone else.

Feeling Calm #23

For my birthday I was given a great new book ‘Calm’ and a journal from my friends to help me find some calm in my life and to de-stress a little. I have been writing in my journal everyday and on Wednesday’s I go through the daily highlights I’ve written down and pick out my 10 favourites.

So I spent Monday and Tuesday in Bavaria for the BenQ GS1 Launch, it was amazing and I had the best time. I also got to travel somewhere new, something I love to do. Meet new people, which is daunting for me, but they were such really lovely people I shouldn’t have worried.

Even when I travel I have to take my journals

Of course I took my journals with me so here are my top 10 moments from the past 7 days; Continue reading Feeling Calm #23

Doddle Bags from Lakeland – Review

It is safe to say Lakeland is up there as one of my favourite stores, there’s always a new gadget, gift or kitchen accessory I want so I was really excited to get to review Doddle Bags for them.

Doddle Bags are reusable food and drink pouches, but more than that they can be used for toiletries when you are travelling, using with paints, any liquid basically.

They are perfect for on the go, they are leak proof, have anti-choke caps and are dishwasher and freezer safe. They are simply amazing and I have been a bit blown away by them. Continue reading Doddle Bags from Lakeland – Review

My Travels with El Camino Bracelets

I always consider myself lucky that I get to try new things as a blogger and still find it strange that people value my opinion. Every now and then I get to try something that really stands out from the crowd and I fell luckier still, that’s exactly how I feel about El Camino.

The concept is simple, a charm bracelet dedicated to travel, but the reality is fun and stylish and most importantly affordable.  Continue reading My Travels with El Camino Bracelets
