Sandaway Beach Holiday Park North Devon

Last week were lucky enough to have a family holiday in Devon, we were based at Sandaway Beach Holiday Park in Combe Martin, North Devon thanks to the lovely people at John Fowler Holidays.

Devon is about 6 hours in the car from us, so with such a long way t travel there are a few things that we really need to have on arrival. A straight forward check in, something fun to do with L, food and a comfy bed. We were me with all these things. It was lovely.

Project Bridesmaid #8

So in about a year I am going to be a bridesmaid for my little sister. This is just the kind of goal I need to diet, start losing some weight and getting healthier, which all ties in nicely with my quest to be a calmer, happier and healthier person.

I have decided to vlog about my journey as that will give me a visual reminder of where I’ve been and where I am and as it’s something that makes me rather uncomfortable it will also help to keep me in check. Plus it’s always good to push yourself.

During my journey I will be getting to try all kinds of new products and sharing my experiences of them with you. Continue reading Project Bridesmaid #8

Having Your Own Workspace

When I started blogging two years ago the aim was to help me find a way, any way, to stay at home. I tried a few different things, took a few courses and found myself working as a Social Media Manager. I was able to leave my admin job and am now officially self employed. I thought I would start sharing some of the things I have learnt along the way.

I have spent enough time working from the sofa on my laptop, it has it’s benefits that’s for sure, but I have found it increasingly more and more important to have my own workspace and here’s why.

How to Make A Wedding Tree – Project Bridesmaid

When the guys at Rust-Oleum got in touch a couple of weeks back to see if I fancied taking part in a bit of a blogger challenge they were running to create a wedding craft the timing couldn’t have been better.

As you all know my sister is getting married next year and I am one of her bridesmaids, so far, as part of my Project Bridesmaid series, I have been focusing on myself and losing some weight so I’ll look good on the day. The time has come, however, to start actually taking care of my real duties.  Continue reading How to Make A Wedding Tree – Project Bridesmaid

Deep Heat Roll On

When I started my little project to be a healthier, slimmer and fitter Bridesmaid next year, it wasn’t just about diet to help me lose weight but also about adding exercise into my routine.

As I’m not one for massive amounts of exercise I was pleased when Deep Heat got in touch kindly suggesting they send me on of their new Muscle Massage Roll-On’s, just in case I were to need it.  Continue reading Deep Heat Roll On

Dealing with disappointment

When I started blogging two years ago the aim was to help me find a way, any way, to stay at home. I tried a few different things, took a few courses and found myself working as a Social Media Manager. I was able to leave my admin job and am now officially self employed. I thought I would start sharing some of the things I have learnt along the way.

Being self employed can often mean a lot of work pitching for little reward, even worse are the times when you are offered a job that never actually materialises.
