Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about stress. As I alluded to earlier in the week I have been struggling a bit recently and though better in myself I am still feeling a lot of stress when perhaps I shouldn’t be.
Before you start School tomorrow I just wanted to tell you a few things.
These are things I haven’t mentioned because I know you are worried and nervous, trust me I am too. But my job as your mum is try to lessen that feeling, not make it worse, so there are some things I haven’t been entirely honest about.
I’ll be up front with you, I don’t know where I’m going with this, but I feel the need to write about how L’s first experience of school was for both of us. As you all know I recently started a new job, so I’ve been out of the house a lot more, it’s really changing things at home. It’s the changing dynamics at home that I am struggling with most of all. Just little things I’ve noticed. Normal or inconsequential to many, but new and a bit upsetting for me.
I don’t normally write about anything vaguely political, I don’t pretend to have the knowledge required. In fact I still don’t even know if I should publish this.
This week, with the terror attacks in Brussels, so soon after those in Paris, the world is becoming a worse place. People are becoming less tolerant than they were before, which scares me and shocks me at the same time. People also seem to be becoming numb to these horrific things. Continue reading The World Now→
