This Plus That Equals…. April Plans

This plus that equals…. April plans

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about my plans for the coming month.

Daddy and son enjoying our Herbert Woods boat last time, L was so little!!

Holiday!!

We’ve got a few holidays arranged for this year. I’m making the most of it before L starts school.

This month I’m very excited to be off boating with Herbert Woods. We went three years ago, it was the first holiday I reviewed. Now we are returning and will be staying on the same boat, I’m so excited.

We know what to expect this time. I’ve worked with Herbert Woods a lot over the years, so that has removed a certain level of stress.

Plus, on the Norfolk Broads, everything slows down. The 5 mph speed limit, the relaxing sway of the boat, the lapping water and the distinct lack of 4G all mean that I truly relax. Eeek!!

He’s going to love the Spring Fling

Spring Fling

I was browsing through Facebook, wasting time, as you do. When I saw an ad for The Spring Fling at The Royal Norfolk Showground.

A day aimed at 4 – 14 year olds. With tractor rides and a lot of farming machinery to look at and sit in. A display form the emergency services. The East Anglian Air Ambulance. Animals. And so much more.

Literally all of L’s favourite things. I have no idea how I hadn’t heard of it before.

I was undecided about getting tickets as it’s during the week so husb can’t come and I don’t like to leave him out but then I saw lunch was included in the ticket price and I booked tickets for L and I. He’s going to love it.

Blog, blog, blogging

April may see one holiday, but May and June do as well. So I am planning on spending every spare moment blogging so I have everything scheduled I physically can.

This way I can just relax when we’re away.

I know I could take a break. To be fair I probably will in June. But for now I want to see if I can keep up with my daily blogging schedule and enjoy a break. Wish me luck.

A Wedding

My best friend’s, little sister’s wedding.

I have known this beautiful young lady since she was five years old. She is far more than my friends little sister to me. She is a friend in her own right. She’s really bloody special actually. Though how she is old enough to be getting married I don’t know!

I can’t wait to join her in the evening and celebrate with her and her family, a family who are also very dear to me.

It seems like minutes ago she would sit on my packing trolley at Morrisons and watch me fill shelves and chat whilst her mum was doing the shopping. In reality it was a lifetime ago.

Gin!!

Something just for me

This is now definitely to be a permanent fixture. I deserve one moment a month just for me.

March saw me treat myself to a few little purchases. April is gin box month so that’s exciting and also a few days of vastly reduced social media and blogging whilst we’re on the boat, which I think will be really good for me.

Finally, I’m linking up with #TwinklyTuesday, #Blogstravaganza, #StayClassyMama and #fortheloveofBLOG

    1. The gin box is the best things i ever treated myself too. It’s Craft Gin Club, £40 a box, but you get so much for that. I just do it every other month and it’s worth every single penny.

  1. That Gin box sounds like the perfect ‘just for me!’ How fab. And yay on the holiday! Nothing like getting away! #FortheloveofBLOG

  2. Wow, what amazing things you have planned! I’ve definitely got holiday envy! Hubby always fancied a barge holiday, maybe the Norfolk Broads is the way to go? I’ll look out for your post holiday blog to see what you got up to! Enjoy your time away!

    1. We are going to be so busy! I’m biased but the broads are amazing and the boats from Herbert Woods are so luxurious. Not barges but still a boat, just more space
