This plus that equals…. August plans
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about my plans for August

Day’s Out
The Summer Holidays are here and we’ve got all the day trips planned.
We’re visiting some of our fave places like Sea Life and Amazona Zoo. We’re also going to some Norfolk classics we’ve somehow not visited before like Pensthorpe and Gressenhall, well I have been to Gressenhall but not for about ten years!
We’re going to the beach on the train and all kinds of other fun things. We’re busy with trips but I cannot wait.

Barracudas
L has four days at Barracudas this school holiday. Crossing July and August actually.
It’s a big deal for him though and he’s grown up so much, he’s been running in every morning and having such a blast. I’ve just got a feeling his time at camp will be something he remembers for a long time to come.
Camp also means I get to go to work and get a few things out of the way so I can relax and enjoy our time off together.

Catching up with friends & family
When L is at school we are really limited to how much we can catch up with people and hang out with friends, so the holidays become that time.
It’s important over the summer for him to see his school friends too, to maintain and build on those relationships these young people are forming means a lot.
So we’re going to be hanging out with my sister, my parents, the in laws, going to the park with friends, going on a group outing and catching up with work chums and nursery besties.

New routines
Husb has got a new job, so once again we’ll be working out a new routine and how it all fits into our day to day.
It doesn’t seem like five minutes ago we were adjusting to him working miles away and now we’re going to have to get used to him being close to home again.
I don’t think it’s going to be a massive transition but any new job comes with stresses and change that he’ll have to get used to and we might have to help with.

Building
August is going to see some massive changes in the building work. We currently have walls and the shell of a roof.
If the weather plays nice then we should see a new roof, front door and knocking through between the old and new sections.
We might even see the first fixes. It’s been moving really fast and should be completed in September, so let’s see how much they get done in August.
Finally, I’m linking up with #TwinklyTuesday and #StayClassyMama
Sounds like a fun month ahead! We visited Pensthorpe for the first time recently and really enjoyed it. Haven’t made it to Gressenhall yet, hoping we might during the hols! Thanks for linking up as always x #twinklytuesday
I was really impressed with Pensthorpe. I haven’t been to Gressenhall since I was a child myself so I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like now xx
