This plus that equals…. December plans
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about my plans for the coming month.
Everything has been purchased it just needs to be wrapped. It’s actually quite a big day for me. I love it.
I get the Christmas tunes playing, mince pies are out for sustenance and a glass of something nice is poured and ready.
I love wrapping gifts, I like everything to match and have bows and ribbons. No one else is allowed to help as they cannot live up to my exacting standards. I cannot wait for present wrapping day.
We have several elves who visit over Christmas to get up to mischief. I’ve a few days planned out already and a bank of good ideas.
I’ve got some easy days in the bag as well, for those evenings when I’m out of inspiration.
It can be a lot of work but it’s worth it to see L’s face light up.
We do something with L every year. Just the three of us and the big guy himself.
We’ve tried doing it as a big family affair but that is just way too stressful, so we keep it small with just us three.
This year we’ll be heading to Elveden as it is just my favourite place to be a Christmas time, they do a lovely job and the Grotto is amazing. Plus I love watching the Newfoundland dogs pulling people’s trees to their cars. It’s magical.
Got my boy at home for a couple of weeks, whoop!
Between us husb and I have the school holidays covered with a nice mix of solo days, family days and enough days off to see everyone else too.
We’ll do a few fun bits but mainly just be at home. Christmas Eve we open our doors to friends and family to pop in as they please, zero stress, zero hassle. Christmas day itself is always just the three of us, it’s how I like it. Then Boxing Day we’re off to see the inlaws.
Becoming an Auntie
I can just feel it in my bones, we’re going to have a Christmas baby.
My sister is due the 31st and as she’s got gestational diabetes she won’t be going late, it just depends when she’s induced how close to Christmas we’ll have a new little bubs in the family.
It’s an exciting time and we are all excited to meet the little one.
It’s going to be a good month.
Finally, I’m linking up with #TwinklyTuesday, #Blogstravaganza and #StayClassyMama
