This plus that equals…. January plans
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about my plans for the coming month. No New Year’s Resolutions here, I don’t believe in them, just my usual plans for the coming month.
I won’t be doing much, in fact I’m at work the evening of my Birthday.
All I want to do is have a long walk round Southwold and a pub lunch. Maybe a G&T or two as well. It would be nice if we did this near my birthday but so long as it happens at some point during the month of January I’ll be happy.
The great toy purge
It’s got to be done! After Christmas and with his birthday only a couple of months ago we’re bursting at the seams with toys.
So we’ll go through everything and sort into piles, charity, keep and bin. All whilst he is asleep and reclaim a tiny bit of order in our house.
Yeah I know it’s not spring but putting decorations away and finding homes for new gifts is the perfect time for a good clean.
So much gets moved around to accommodate Christmas the house seems really empty when it’s gone which strangely makes a big clean seem less overwhelming to me.
December was so busy we are all exhausted. January will be the opposite.
L definitely has Christmas overwhelm so he will benefit from some boring days at home and the return of his routine.
Husb and I will benefit from getting or weekends back and only having to worry about our little unit and not keeping everyone else happy.
Something just for me
This is now definitely to be a permanent fixture. I deserve one moment a month just for me.
Last year I went out shopping with a friend for my birthday. We spent all the gift vouchers we’d received over Christmas, checked out what was left of the sales and had a nice lunch. I’d rather like to do that again.
Finally, I’m linking up with #TwinklyTuesday, #Blogstravaganza, #StayClassyMama and #fortheloveofBLOG
