This Plus That Equals…. July Plans 2018

This plus that equals…. July plans

Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about my plans for the coming month.

Pretty flowers in the garden
Oh hello garden, we can become re-aquainted

Being at home

We aren’t actually going on holiday in July. I know, it’s shocking!! Other than a couple of days out I’ve got planned we aren’t really doing much away from home, it’s nice actually.

I don’t even have any Christmas in July shows booked in, though I’m not promising that won’t change, is my fave season after all!

July plans
Beautiful Cambridge

The only day out I’ve got planned at the moment is a Rail Adventure to Cambridge. We’re just going to check out a few of the free bits you can do in Cambridge and enjoy a wander.

If anyone has any top tips for places to take L do let me know, I’ve never been with him before.

Oh yes little man, you’ll be sick of the sight of me!

Time with L

I’m becoming more and more conscious that the time we have together to adventure and hang out just the two of during the week is drawing to a close as he gets ready for school.

July will be all about making the most of that time and just enjoying him while I can. Christ I’m struggling with the thought of him being at school.

July plans
Definitely just want to find some time to walk and chill

Rest a bit

All three of us are tired at the moment. So I would like to make the most of July being less hectic than the surrounding months to just chill a bit.

I’d like to be able to get in a position with work, blog and life that I can just step back and breath a bit. So the first two weeks of July I will work my cotton socks off, so I rest up a bit.

Our mischief may involve gin and chocolate, who knows!

Something just for me

This is now definitely to be a permanent fixture. I deserve one moment a month just for me.

I’m quite excited about this one. L has a leavers trip all planned at his nursery that he will be going on with all his friends. Including his best friend. The timing of this means I have a day I’m at a loose end, with no child and my best mum friend (L’s best little chum’s mum) is also free with no child.

We plan to get up to some kind of mischief together. We don’t have any hard and fast plans yet, but we’ll do something good.

Finally, I’m linking up with #TwinklyTuesday, #Blogstravaganza, #StayClassyMama and #fortheloveofBLOG

  1. Resting sounds blissful! I’m so tired at the moment I just can’t wait for the holidays. Love cambridge 🙂 #stayclassymama

  2. Enjoy your travels throughout July. We love going to Cambridge and just wandering about to see what we can see. It’s a lovely place

  3. I’m quite jealous of your relaxing July plans. Our July will be quite hectic and full of travel. It will be fun, but it will be stressful too. I’m hoping things slow down just a bit in August. #fortheloveofBLOG

  4. I think it’s so important to take time out for yourself as a mum. I’ve only really just started committing to this myself. I’ve started aqua aerobics once a week with 2 other mum friends, which really makes me feel good – just an hour to myself once a week is a good start! #TwinklyTuesday
