This plus that equals…. May plans
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about my plans for the coming month.

Preparing for Husb’s New Job
At some point this month we should find out where Husb will be working on hs next project and that cannot come soon enough.
I just want to know if he will be working away, facing a massive daily commute or be close to home. OK, close to home is unlikely to be an option, but I can dream.
The thing is until I know I can’t plan and I’m a planner, so I won’t be able to rest until I know where we are.

Get back into the blogging groove
This may not sound like much but last month there were 3 days I didn’t go live.
The first time this year I had days without a blog post going out. This was because I was tired. It was also because I was disorganised and have been slipping close to a mental state that concerns me
I do not want this to become a habit and with a holiday coming u this month it’s a big ask but I kind of feel that if I can nail this, then I will be OK in myself. So it’s important to me.

Turkey
Whoop!! All inclusive beach holiday here I come.
This holiday cannot come soon enough. I’m ready to leave behind our dreary weather, the endless cooking and cleaning and mind numbing binges on Paw Patrol to get anything done. I’m ready for a break.
I plan to do one thing I swore I would never do.
I’m going to visit a foreign country, one I’ve never been to before, and I’m not going to experience it in any way. No trips, no culture, no exploring. I’m going to sit my arse on a beach chair, drink gin all day long, eat way too much food, read a book and play with L.

Stick to a budget
This is the month of change. I am going to to stick to a budget so I can start saving money again.
I have been finding working in a shop all to easy to get the odd thing here and there. Which is mounting up to a big thing when I look at my balance!
You notice when things go on sale or spend all day staring at something and decide you have to have it in your life. Just buying lunch seems way easier than packing it.
So I have set a daily budget and I will stick to it.

Something just for me
This is now definitely to be a permanent fixture. I deserve one moment a month just for me.
This month I have arranged to spend the spa vouchers I got for my birthday and have a pre holiday pamper session. I’m very excited.
I’m going to try Hopi Ear Candling, it’s supposed to be great for sinus issues, headaches and stopping pressure building up whilst you are on a plane. It also comes with a back and neck massage, which is where I carry all my tension. Mmmmm.
I know it has been scientifically debunked and the Hopi tribe want nothing to do with it, but it’s 100% the kind of thing I believe in and I think it will work. So lets see.

I can totally understand the anxiety of not knowing and not being able to plan. Hope you find out where husband is going to be soon. TURKEY!!! Sounds totally amazing. I hope you have a fantastic time away. Thank you for linking with #stayclassymama
We’re in Turkey at the moment and it is fabulous
Great plans! I have had a few days away so not posted and finding it tricky to catch up. Plus all the social media promotion went out of the window! We need to work on our budgeting skills as our savings have been seriously depleted by the wedding organisation! Thanks for linking up with #stayclassymama
I’m loving Cleo for budgeting. It’s really helping
It looks like you have put in place a few things to help minimise stress, which looks like a good thing as you wait to hear where your hubby will be working. Hope that all pans out well for you. #blogstravaganza
I just want to know what he’s up to. I’ll feel so much better when I can plan. Looks like it’ll be a last minute thing though
I’ll be interested to know how the Hopi ear candling goes. I’ve never tried this but it sounds like it could be really good. Thanks for sharing with #fortheloveofBLOG

It really is!
That sounds like a fabulous month! A new country with gin on the beach sounds fantastic! That you time each month is so necessary!! If it means you don’t go live for a day in order to treat yourself, treat yourself! You deserve it!
