This plus that equals…. November plans
Here’s the latest instalment in my series of posts all about what makes our lives here at home tick. This week is all about my plans for the coming month.
I can actually get this one ticked off as I’ve written it a bit later in the month than usual.
November is when I like to get all the Christmas presents bought and organised and I’ve done it!!
All I have left to buy are some mini truckles of cheese for a hamper and get a couple of L’s school photos printed and it’s all done. I may even start wrapping this month.
I know December will be manic, so November I try to organise as much for Christmas as I can.
Seeing Santa, booked. Getting times arranged for seeing family. Food delivery slots to be nabbed. Start buying in some food and drink.
What will we eat? What will the elves be doing, do I need to buy props? School holidays to be covered. School activities to book time off for.
All little things that I want to have arranged and ready to go before December even hits or I’ll be overwhelmed.
Get back on top of blogging
I don’t really know how, but these past couple of weeks I’ve slipped. I’ve got so much to write and so much to do but have just fallen behind.
I want to get back on top of things this month so I can enjoy my favourite month to its fullest.
I’ve been careful to not pick up too much overtime so I have some time to actually write and I have resigned myself to being exhausted for a bit. But I know in the long run it will be worth it.
This month will see my little sister’s baby shower.
I’ve created a nappy cake to look like a hot air balloon, I have my gifts ready and will go celebrate.
Whilst I am very excited for her and for the baby I must admit I am not looking forward to the shower.
For starters it is very expensive and just before Christmas I could do without that, but also it just filled with a lot of people I barely know and is going to be hours of enforced fun, the kind of thing I just don’t enjoy, but I shall attend and smile regardless.
Something just for me
This is now definitely to be a permanent fixture. I deserve one moment a month just for me.
This month I have got a few little lunches with friends booked in. I’m really looking forward to it. Catching up with one of my dearest friends for the first time in ages and seeing a mum friend for a catch up whilst the kids are at school, plus maybe even an evening out on the horizon.
It’s going to be a good month.
Finally, I’m linking up with #TwinklyTuesday, #Blogstravaganza and #StayClassyMama
