Valentine's Day Gift Guide

Valentine’s Day Gift Guide 2019

Valentine’s Day is only a couple of weeks away so I’ve pulled together a few lovely gift ideas just incase you were in need of some inspiration.

A Book of Romance

The Romance Edition from The Book of Everyone is a wonderful and romantic personalised gift.

You get to add the recipient’s name and date of birth, as well as other fun personality traits, to create a wonderfully romantic and unique book just for them.

The order process is easy and the finished book is amazing. It’s cute, funny, romantic and interesting all in one. I made a book for husb and he loves it, though I’m not sure he was too chuffed I picked his super power as Procrastination. It’s true though.

The paperback version is £23.99 and hardback is £29.99. It’s a really unique and special way to say I love you.

The Urban Botanist

More than Flowers

Flowers are a classic gift for Valentine’s Day. Rightfully so, I love having flowers in the house. But as a gift they just don’t last.

The Urban Botanist have some fabulous options that will last and last.

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen that I got the most beautiful Mini Copper Cube Terrarium. Mine came pre-assembled, I just had to unwrap it and pop the lights in. You can get it personalised too, my little wooden round with S.W.A.L.K. engraved can actually be changed to say whatever you want. Such a nice touch.

They have so many other lovely Valentine’s options you’ll be spoilt for choice. I love the Mossart Heart Stand and the Wall Garden’s are stunning.

The Urban Botanist have kindly offered all my readers a 20% discount during February, just use code VAL20 and from 1st February to 28th February.

Pick and Mix Tea

Isn’t a good cuppa always a great way to say I love You? I think so, as long as it is herbal and has no milk, preferably not fruity either. Oh yes, people can be a bit fussy about their tea.

Thankfully Teapigs have come up with a genius solution. A Pick and Mix box. You get to select 12 mini packs of your favourite Teapigs brews and get it all boxed up so you know you’ll have the perfect tea to suit whatever the mood.

Each adorable little box has two teabags and is perfect if you’re a bit unsure what they like, if you fancy trying something new or are such a connoisseur you need the choice.

Whether you are after an Everyday Brew, Earl Grey, Chai or Chamomile you’ll be happy with the selection. My personal favourite is the Liquorice and Peppermint, it is divine!

A Little Pampering

Did you know you can get gifts from Victoria Plum? Me neither.

However much I may want, and actually genuinely need, a new bathroom I appreciate it would be a big ask for Valentine’s day. The taps don’t even work at the moment, sob!

To make up for that I would happily settle for a gorgeous Baylis and Harding Gift Set, with lovely products and even fluffy slippers if you wanted, you’ll be able to find a set that will be welcomed.

Just as a side note, if you are giving a beautiful pampering gift to someone with children, please also gift them the time to actually use it, in peace!

Gin gifts from jumbles

Yes I am 100% thinking of myself when I recommend Gin as a gift. Anyone who knows me will attest to the fact I love my gin, and whenever someone asks what I would like for a Christmas/Birthday/Thank You/Valentine’s Gift I will always respond with one word. Gin.

Yumbles are a curated marketplace connecting food lovers with the UK’s best small batch independent food and drink producers. They have a brilliant selection of gifts and some amazing gins that you aren’t going to find in the supermarket.

There are loads of Gin Gifts from Yumbles to choose from. Gin chocolates, gin sets, flavoured gins, limited edition gins, gins with amazing bottles that you would have to keep and all manner of other gin related gifts. It would be hard to choose but even harder to go wrong!

The Little Touches

Romance isn’t about the big gestures. It’s about doing things that make people smile.

Like giving them a fancy coffee at home with hearts dusted on top. Or baking a cake with a romantic flourish. Just something that will make the person you love smile.

That’s why I love this quilted hearts stencil from Pangolynn over on Etsy.

It’s perfect for making your own coffee art or to decorate cupcakes or cakes. Made from washable red acrylic, it is the perfect gift for a coffee lover, baker. Just hold the stencil over your coffee (dust with cocoa shaker) or your cake (dust with glitter or powdered icing sugar).

Sweet Hearts for your Sweetheart

I like to get a little something for L at Valentine’s, so sweets are the obvious choice and if I’m honest husb would always go for an edible gift!

The HARIBO Heart Throbs Gift Box is available in 140g and 380g sizes and is a great way to treat someone.

Filled with the classic pretty jelly and foam hearts we all know and love, this cute gift box is the perfect present for the sweet lover in your life.

Disclosure – I was gifted many items to see if I would like to include them in this guide, I have only included those I genuinely wanted to. All thoughts, opinions and images (unless stated) are my own.
