Win a Christmas Flavours Gift Hamper from Opies

Christmas Flavours

For many, Christmas isn’t Christmas without a Pickled Walnut but if this is your first foray into the Pickled Walnut Club, then we suggest that you use them to accompany Christmas cheeses or crack open a  jar on Boxing Day as they go really well with cold meats too.

Opies
My favourite treat, cocktail gherkins

How can we talk about Christmas without mentioning drinks and in particular – cocktails! This year, embrace the classics like a Manhattan or Pina Colada and top with an Opies Cocktail Cherry and have a stand-by jar of Sliced Lemons which always come in handy for drinks at parties and events.

Opies
Cocktail cherries are the perfect addition to a cake

Add some spice into you baking with Stem Ginger in Syrup which can be chopped and added to cakes, mince pies and puddings. Opies fruits in alcohol embrace the essence of Christmas – comfort, decadence and indulgence. Eat on their own (straight from the jar if needs be) or preferably serve with cream.

  1. I was just saying to my husband the other day that we needed to get some cherries for cake making – how opportune!

  2. These always remind me of Christmas actually… We buy a selection for cocktails and I remember growing up nagging my nan for a cherry from the drinks cabinet! hehe.

    Great sharing gift.

  4. Thanks for a lovely competition prize. My husband is very neglected as most prizes are more suited to women, he would love this, thanks

  5. A hamper of great stuff that I stand in the supermarket thinking “can I justify that just before Christmas?” If lucky enough to win I wouldn’t have to!

  6. I make chutneys but Ive never tried making any of these. They are really festive and I bet taste delicious

  7. Fruit in alcohol sounds a great excuse for ice cream. And I’ve always wondered what pickled walnuts are like.

    1. They are a fabulous excuse for ice cream 🙂 The walnuts are a funny one. I wouldn’t eat the straight from the jar, like I do most pickles, but they add a marvelous flavour to a salad and go very nicely with cheese.

  8. I love these pickled walnuts my husband bought them last year! Perfect bundle for Christmas cheer!

  9. I adore pickles! I wonder why the only time of year I fill the house with them is at Christmas, I’d be happy to tuck into them all year round
