I grew up watching Friends. I was at High School when it started and being home on a Friday night to watch it was important. Watching the final episode years later was a fairly momentous occasion and I’ve never really stopped watching it. So I was curious to see some of the Friends themed products from Mad Beauty.
Mad Beauty create bath, body & beauty gifts for adults and have several collections including their Disney Never Too Old, Looney Toons and, of course, Friends.
I got to try out a great bundle that includes a very handy Friends Clip & Clean Hand Cleanser, a fun Friends Face Mask, a super cute Friends Lip Balm Duo and a Friends Bath Salts Pizza. All of the products have been perfectly designed and styled to give that real Friends feel and the detail is spot on, reading the packaging and the different quotes made me chuckle as I was immediately taken back to the episodes they came from.
The Friends Clip and Clean Hand Cleansers come in four colours, I got a blue one which says ‘How You Doin?’ It’s got a lovely fresh scent, plenty of Aloe Vera and moisturisers to keep hands soft and plenty of alcohol to keep them clean! I love the carabiner clip at the top, perfect for clipping to a bag when you’re out and about so you don’t have to rummage to find it and at £2.99 it’s good value as well.
The Friends Lip Balm Duo would make a perfect gift. A cute little Central Perk Coffee Mug and To Go cup filled with Caramel and Vanilla scented lip balms. They provide great moisturising for your lips and look great. Mine have been left on display on my dressing table, they make me smile to see them, though soon they’ll end up in my work pocket as I’m going through lip balm at a rate of knots, being behind a mask all day is very drying.
Potentially my favourite product of the lot is the Friends Face Mask. A sheet mask, which I love anyway, they are so quick and easy to apply and create a lot less mess, but in true Friends style this paper mask is a turkey wearing sunglasses and a fez. Oh yes, you can be Monica without having to put an actual turkey on your head! It’s cranberry scented and leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed. For £3.99 this is a little treat that’s well worth it.
The Friends Bath Salt Pizza is just brilliant. It comes in a pizza box with all the different bath salts in pizza slice shaped packets. So grab a slice and head to the bath. Each slice is a different scent and you get just the right amount for a bath, each slice also has a different picture representing something from the show. Phoebe’s guitar, the sofa, the frame from the girls door. It’s another really well thought out and fun product. You get eight packets of bath salts, all in different scents, Passion fruit is my favourite so far but I’ve also really loved the Lemon and Mandarin.
